Sticky Honey Roast
Juicy pork in a sticky honey glaze — a hearty main dish from Genshin Impact.
Sticky Honey Roast is one of Teyvat's signature meat dishes in Genshin Impact: ham roasted in a thick honey glaze to a caramel shine. In the game the people of Mondstadt cook it and it restores the party's strength well. At home we make a simpler version with pork pieces seared and braised in a sauce of honey, soy and garlic until glossy and sticky.
🧺 Ingredients
🍽 3 servings👩🍳 Method
- 1
Cut the meat
Cut the pork into large cubes, season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Sear the pork
Sear the cubes in hot oil on all sides until browned.
- 3
Add the garlic
Add the minced garlic and warm for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 4
Add the glaze
Pour in the honey and soy sauce and stir to coat the meat in the glaze.
- 5
Braise until sticky
Braise over medium heat for 12–15 minutes, stirring, until the sauce thickens and turns sticky.
- 6
Serve
Serve hot, drizzled with the sauce left in the pan.
💡 Tips
- 💡
Soy sauce is already salty — salt the meat lightly so the dish doesn't turn out too salty.
- 💡
Lower the heat at the end and watch the sauce: honey burns quickly over high heat.
