Hobbit Pan-Fried Mushrooms
Mushrooms pan-fried in butter with garlic and herbs — a hobbit favorite from The Lord of the Rings.
Hobbits adore mushrooms — Frodo and his friends fondly recall Farmer Maggot's mushroom beds, and frying up a basketful in butter is a real treat for them. This simple Shire dish does just that: fresh mushrooms turned golden in butter with garlic and finished with parsley. Perfect on toast for second breakfast.

💡 Tips
- 💡
Don't add mushrooms to a cold pan or salt them too early — they'll steam in their own juice instead of frying.
- 💡
Wild mushrooms give a richer flavor, but button mushrooms work perfectly for everyday cooking.
