World of Warcraft Feast: Recipes from Azeroth at Your Table
In World of Warcraft, feasts are in-game buffs that give the entire raid group a boost before a boss fight. 'Great Feast', 'Cooking Cauldron' — these dishes became part of raider culture and geeky cooking.
History and origin
The Cooking profession in WoW is one of the most detailed systems, introduced at launch in 2004. Each expansion adds new recipes from Azeroth's regional cuisine, inspired by real-world cultures.
Key ingredients
Recreate the WoW Great Feast: whole roast chicken with garlic and herbs, roast potatoes, roasted vegetables (parsnip, carrot, turnip), bread and butter and a jug of beer or apple cider.
How to cook at home
A whole chicken is best marinated overnight in a mix of salt, garlic, lemon and herbs — it comes out juicier. Roast breast-side down for the first 30 minutes — fat drips down and bastes the breast from inside.
Try this recipe at home — it's much easier than it looks and will make you feel part of your favourite universe.
