History and origin

Stardew Valley is ConcernedApe's indie farming RPG (2016), inspired by Harvest Moon. Cooking recipes in the game are prepared from cookbooks and villagers' recipes, reflecting the cosy village life.

Key ingredients

Blueberry tart: a shortcrust base of butter, flour, sugar and egg. Filling: fresh or frozen blueberries, sugar, lemon juice and cornstarch to thicken. Blind-bake the tart shell, then add the filling.

How to cook at home

For the perfect crumbly shell keep the butter very cold and do not overwork the dough — it should barely come together. Bake with a weight (dried beans) for the first 15 minutes, then 5 minutes uncovered.

Try this recipe at home — it's much easier than it looks and will make you feel part of your favourite universe.
