Night City Ramen from Cyberpunk 2077: Street Food of the Future
In Cyberpunk 2077, Night City is a megacity where street food is served from neon-lit stalls. Ramen bars and Asian fusion cooking permeate the game's atmosphere. V with their implants needs fast and calorie-dense food.
History and origin
The food design in Cyberpunk 2077 was inspired by real districts of Hong Kong, Tokyo and Los Angeles. CD Projekt Red developers studied Asian street food to create an authentic vision of the future.
Key ingredients
Cyberpunk ramen: tonkotsu broth with extra seasoning (hot chilli, sesame oil, soy sauce), neon toppings: nitamago egg, nori, crispy fried onions, chashu and a drizzle of hoisin sauce.
How to cook at home
For a 'neon' effect, add a few drops of black garlic oil (front-end oil with sesame) — it gives a dark colour and rich aroma. Garnish with bright-coloured toppings for visual impact.
Try this recipe at home — it's much easier than it looks and will make you feel part of your favourite universe.
