Key ingredients

For the muffins: plain flour, pumpkin purée (tinned or homemade), eggs, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and milk. Add chocolate chips or pecan nuts.

How to cook at home

Pumpkin purée from fresh pumpkin tastes better than tinned: roast half a pumpkin at 180°C for 40 minutes, scoop out the flesh and purée. Do not overmix the batter — the muffins will turn tough.
